While playing with the trust zone, if I set this to Route instead of NAT, I experience the same results as I do with the DMZ zone (or any other zone I've tried setting up except for the trust zone). The section I have been working with is the "Network > Interfaces > Edit" section. I have used the WebGUI for the configuration and would prefer to continue with that if possible as I am most familiar with that setup. The setting that seems to work for the Trust zone does not seem to work for the DMZ zone (or a new zone I created as a test.).
I am pretty new to Juniper and am a bit confused by this problem. While I have been successful in adding this zone and configuring policies between all of the zones, I am having some trouble with setting up NAT from the DMZ to the Untrust. This allows me to track traffic and verify that I have everything configured correctly before I put it into production.
At this time, I have this firewall inside of another firewall while I configure and test it. I have a Juniper SSG5 firewall which is currently setup with the standard Trust and Untrust zones.
